If you've ever done physical therapy before, you probably know the routine: check in, wait, get handed off to an aide or tech for exercises while your therapist bounces between three other patients, and leave wondering if anyone actually looked closely at your injury. At Peak Performance & Recovery in Jupiter, FL, we built our clinic specifically to fix that experience.
There are no insurance billing codes dictating your treatment time here, and no rotating cast of aides. When you come to Peak Performance & Recovery, you work directly with Dr. Eric Wanner, PT, DPT, OCS, for the entirety of your session. That means more hands-on treatment, more attention to the details of your specific injury, and a plan that's built around your goals — not around what a claim will reimburse.
Not all physical therapists have the same training, and the letters after a clinician's name matter more than most patients realize. Dr. Eric Wanner brings a level of expertise that's uncommon even in traditional PT settings:
This isn't a general fitness background paired with a PT license. It's specialized, board-certified expertise applied to your recovery.
Where you heal matters. Our clinic was designed as a clean, modern space equipped with the tools that make a real difference in outcomes — not just the basics. Two techniques we lean on heavily:
Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) Training
BFR uses a specialized cuff to safely and partially restrict blood flow to a limb during low-load exercise. The result: strength and muscle gains similar to heavy lifting, without stressing a healing joint or tissue. It's especially valuable post-surgery or during early-stage rehab when heavy loading isn't yet appropriate.
Dry Needling
A thin filament needle is inserted into tight, irritable muscle tissue (trigger points) to release tension, reduce pain, and restore normal movement patterns. It's fast, targeted, and often produces relief that manual techniques alone can't achieve.
Because we operate on a cash-based model, there's no insurance company dictating how many visits you get, what modalities are "covered," or how long your appointment lasts. Every decision made in your treatment plan is a clinical one — based on what Dr. Wanner determines you actually need to recover fully and return to the activities you love, whether that's golf, running, or simply getting through your day pain-free.
If you're tired of rushed appointments and generic exercise sheets, we'd love to show you what focused, expert-led physical therapy looks like. Reach out to Peak Performance & Recovery in Jupiter, FL to schedule your evaluation.
