Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate
Under the law, physical therapy providers must give patients who do not have insurance, or who are choosing not to use insurance, an estimate of the bill for planned services.
- You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of your physical therapy care. This includes your initial evaluation, subsequent treatment sessions, and re-evaluations.
- You will receive a written Good Faith Estimate at least 1 business day before your scheduled evaluation or treatment session. You can also ask our clinic for an estimate before you schedule an appointment.
- If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill through the federal patient-provider dispute resolution process.
- Be sure to save a copy or photo of your written Good Faith Estimate for your records.
